My attempt at Darwyn Cooke's Catwoman. I LOVE Cooke's inking...check out his run on Catwoman if you haven't!

This is a photo, sorry for the poor clarity. Santa has dropped hints that he's bringing me an 11x17 scanner for Christmas, so you may not have to put up with this for much longer...!!

You know the drill -- Higgins waterproof ink, Rosemary & Co size 2 brush, Cotman watercolors.

Very good job on this, XD I got into inks after a few years of being into water colors and man =w= inks ftw, hah, I actually used to use bottled air brush ink XD <3


The background blows me away, especially since it's so subtle, but still very well done..the backdrop behind her is awesome. There's also how you did her suit, which is a neat look compared to the thousands of catwoman doodles I've seen with her in normal skin tight body suits. Love this >w<

Well they sell it bottled for use with the machines, XD; but I can't find the brand I was using... my teacher gave them to me (she had purchased them for use with this cheap airbrush they got for the school's art lab) but they were pretty old so she just let me have them XD some brands are already watered down a bit (which is good in my opinion) but most others are super concentrated color/pigment so it can be a challenge for people not used to watercolor or inks :3 <3

awwww... *wibbles* That is totally cute!!! I'll have to start picking up Catwoman again at the comic store.

I love the city night in the background. That, the expression on Selina's face, and the slightly hunted look on the lil guy just makes the whole picture looks so serene. Looking at your art makes me feel happy inside.

And I will be super-envious of your in with Santa if he delivers the goods (but I still hope he does). That'll teach me to be on the naughty list... :)
